Greg OgilvieGreg Ogilvie is an associate professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Lethbridge. He has worked as a language teacher and teacher educator in Canada, Ethiopia, and Ukraine. His research interests include task-based language teaching and the promotion of critical interculturality in the second language classroom.

Marie-Hélène LyleMarie-Hélène Lyle is currently a Grade 1 French Immersion teacher at École Agnes Davidson in Lethbridge. She taught Grade 2 beforehand. In Calgary, she taught English as an Additional Language to international students and Grade 8 Social Studies and Grade 8 English Language Arts. She attended the University of Lethbridge to obtain both a BEd and a combined BA/BSc (French/Psychology). She has had practicum experience in Kindergarten, Grade 4/5, Grades 7,8,9 French Immersion, Grade 9 FSL, and Grade 11 FLA.

Jean Brochu
Jean Brochu is a grade 7 homeroom teacher in the Lethbridge area. He teaches a variety of classes at St. Francis Junior High with his combined French/ Education B.A. from the University of Lethbridge. With a focus on humanities, he is always looking for ways to innovate the classroom experience. With past experience as a reading support specialist, he strongly believes that all student success starts with reading. In addition, he has a passion for rural Alberta, strategy games and francophone settings.

Kendra LaRocqueKendra LaRocque graduated with a combined degree B.A./B.Ed. from the University of Lethbridge, majoring in French and minoring in Education Sciences. She has had practicum experience in Grade 4 Science and Grade 6 French Immersion. At the moment she is teaching Grade 1 in a French Immersion school in Lloydminster. She has a passion for French culture and travel.

Camilla PagliericciCamilla Pagliericci graduated with a combined degree B.A./B.Ed. from the University of Lethbridge, majoring in French and minoring in Social Studies Education. She has been gaining experience through substitute teaching and has been able to gain more experience teaching in French at French Immersion and Francophone schools in Lethbridge. She has a passion for music and its use in the classroom, as well as language learning.

Mahaliah Peddle
Mahaliah Peddle graduated with a B.Ed. in Modern Languages Education from the University of Lethbridge. Her passion for teaching was sparked while working as an English language assistant in Shawinigan, Québec for a year. She is currently teaching in a French Immersion classroom in Lethbridge and hopes to continue sharing her love of French with students of all ages. Mahaliah is passionate about French music and hosts a weekly French radio show called Billet doux on CKXU 88.3 FM.

Amy is currently teaching at l’École la Vérendrye (francophone school) in Lethbridge. Born in Fernie, Amy also spent a year in Montreal as a child and completed a semester at Laval University in Quebec City. She was elected as trustee for the Greater Southern Alberta Francophone School Board and served in that capacity from 2010 to 2013. A mother of five, Amy loves the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, teaching and participating in choirs and singing groups, and playing duets on the piano and organ.

Amalia is a student at the University of Lethbridge, completing a combined Bachelor of Arts and Education degree with a French and Spanish major. Born in Nicaragua, a Spanish speaking country in Central America, she moved to Calgary in 2008 to pursue a better education. Whilst pursuing her degree at the university, Amalia has worked as a T.A. for Spanish 1000 classes. Her passion is French and Spanish education through graphic design. She hopes to one day teach either Spanish or French in an immersion setting.

Becky earned her Bachelor of Education degree in Modern Languages from the University of Lethbridge. Her passion for languages began during her formative years in a French Immersion classroom and further grew during her time in France where she honed in on her French Language skills. She is deeply enthusiastic about the power of learning a new language to facilitate meaningful connections. Currently, Becky is a French Immersion teacher in Calgary. She enjoys seeing the remarkable progress her students make in learning French!

Aurora Gray graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in French and an After Degree in Education from the University of Lethbridge. She grew up going through French Immersion which started her passion for French culture. She has been teaching French Immersion at Agnes Davidson for the last few years and loves it. She hopes to help her students develop a love for French like her teachers did for her.
